Communities That Care Network
|
To unite like-minded organization and individuals in the Chester community, CEF established
and facilitates the Communities That Care Network (CTC), a collaborative of over 125
community organizations, human service agencies, businesses, faith-based organizations and
individuals.
Since 1995 the CTC Network has made a variety of resources available to families including
education, housing, health, employment, economic development, child care and mental
health, among others. Members of the CTC Network have a strong history of partnering with
each other and the school district to provide recreational activities (golf, fencing) as well as
art (jewelry making, photography), culture (African dance, Latin dance) and enrichment
(book publishing, computer literacy).
CEF coordinates and hosts monthly meetings to help coordinate collaboration and encourage
the sharing of ideas and resources. Community members are encouraged to attended the
meetings which are held on the second Thursday of each month at 9 AM in the Community
Hospital building on 9th Street in Chester.
For community members who can not attend, CEF circulates the CTC UPDATE, a monthly
newsletter which summarizes meeting highlights and announces upcoming events. The
monthly CTC Updates can be found on the News section of our site.
Check out our History page to learn about the development of the CTC Network in Delaware
