Chester Communities That Care

The Communities That Care (CTC) Network was developed to
address priority risk factors such as academic failure and low
neighborhood attachment through proven, research based
approaches that could be implemented in the schools and
community.  The CTC Network, now with more than 100 agencies
and 275 individuals, works through collaborative partnerships.

Monthly Chester CTC Network meetings attract approximately sixty
representatives from Chester and Delaware County to collaborate
on projects, events, and programs.  From these partnerships come:

¨ after–school programs in elementary, middle, and high schools; ¨
the SKILLS College summer program; ¨ Functional Family Therapy;
¨ the Summer Fun, Recreation and Activity Calendar; ¨ Dare to
Soar; ¨ community-wide events such as Healthy Start’s Family Fun
Night, ¨ the Family Service System Reform events, Chester: We’ve
Got It Goin’ On! And Breakfast with Santa;¨ the Chester Gateway
to Jobs Career Fair; ¨ Healthy Futures, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and
the Chester Upland School District Field Day.

This partial list continues to grow.   For a brief description of the
