Chester Education Foundation Programs
Families Together
Strengthening Families (known locally as Families Together), is a SAMHSA
endorsed, research-based prevention program for families with pre-teens
and teenagers who want to build upon their communication and decision-
making skills. This seven (7) week, strength-based program has been
proven to reduce a youth's risk for problem behaviors, family conflict and
antisocial behavior.

Due to the intimate nature of CEF’s Families Together program, the
participant numbers are relatively small; however, positive outcomes for
these participants abound. Results are primarily measured by the
reflections of program leaders and pre and post program evaluations
which both parents and students complete. CEF has implemented this
program annually for four years. Over that time 60 youth and 37 adults
have been served. Please visit our
Families Together Data Page to learn
more about past participant outcomes.
