#OnTheTablePHL at Chester High School

On the Table Philly is a forum designed to elevate civic conversation, foster new relationships and create a unifying experience.

Over the last three years, On the Table Philly has brought thousands of socially and civic-minded individuals together, with about 3,000 participants in 2017, 5,000 in 2018 and close to 6,000 on Oct. 17, 2019.

In Delco the event is organized and sponsored by the Foundation for Delaware County. These conversations can inspire new ways we can work together to make our communities stronger, safer and more dynamic.

CALLING ALL CHANGE AGENTS…

Chester Education Foundation’s theme for this year’s ‘On The Table’ discussion was a call for CHANGE AGENTS: students that are ready to strategize long-term solutions for issues in our communities and execute. Students participated in a Mind Map workshop to brainstorm topics that need attention in our community. Afterward, students discussed potential solutions for the issues that were recognized during the workshop.

The Change Agent Committee will be an ongoing after school enrichment program that will launch in 2020 to execute long-term plans to solve and understand issues in the Chester Community. Students will utilize skills learned from last year’s Visual Storytelling Class to spread awareness on campaigns for the upcoming year.
